Perfect Blinds UK

Simple, Stylish, and Effortlessly Practical

Roller blinds are the go-to choice for good reason. They look smart, they work brilliantly, and they suit pretty much any room in the house. A single fabric rolls up neatly at the top of your window and pulls down when you need privacy or shade. No fuss, no complicated mechanisms. Just blinds that do exactly what you need.

At Perfect Blinds UK, we have been fitting made-to-measure roller blinds across Yorkshire since 2013. Our collection includes hundreds of fabrics in every colour and pattern you can imagine. Whether you want something subtle that blends in or a bold print that makes a statement, we have got it covered.

Roller blinds work anywhere. Kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living rooms, home offices. You name it. And because every blind is made to measure, you get a perfect fit for your windows every time.

Often called Zebra or Vision blinds, these are the ultimate solution for homeowners who want privacy without losing their natural light. Using a clever dual-layer system of alternating sheer and opaque stripes, they give you precision control over your environment.

They’ve become incredibly popular across Yorkshire because they’re as practical as they are stylish. Whether you’re moving into a brand-new home or updating a traditional terrace, they fit right in. We offer hundreds of colors and textures, so there’s a perfect match for every room. They’re easy to maintain, fully child-safe, and built to stand the test of time.

Free Hanging Roller Blinds

If there’s one blind that works in pretty much every room of the house, it’s the free hanging roller blind. Clean, simple, and dead easy to use — it’s been the go-to choice for UK homes for a long time, and it’s easy to see why.

Double Roller Blinds

Most windows only need one blind. But some rooms ask for a bit more. Maybe you want to let the morning light in gently without losing privacy. Maybe you need the room properly dark at night but bright and airy during the day. That’s exactly what a double roller blind is built for.

Perfectly Fitted Roller Blinds

Most blinds sit in front of your window or hang inside the recess. The Perfectly Fitted Roller does something quite different — it clips directly onto the window frame and becomes part of it. The profile runs around the glass and sits flush with the window, so rather than looking like a blind has been added to the window, it looks like the blind was always meant to be there.

Common Questions (FAQ)

Perfect Fit uses clip-on brackets that attach to standard uPVC windows without drilling – ideal for rentals or if you don’t want permanent fixings. Perfectly Fitted is our own system that works on more window types, including timber, and it’s a bit more adaptable for tricky installations. Freehanging blinds mount above your window on wall or ceiling brackets like traditional blinds. Perfect Fit and Perfectly Fitted blinds move with your window when you open it, while free-hanging blinds stay put. All three work with the same fabrics – it’s just different mounting options depending on your situation.

Blackout fabrics block pretty much all light – we’re talking 95-100% – which is brilliant for bedrooms if you’re a light sleeper or you work nights. Dimout fabrics (sometimes called room-darkening) block most light but not quite all of it. They’re perfect for living rooms or kids’ rooms where you want to reduce glare and create a cosy atmosphere without making it pitch black. Blackout fabrics are usually thicker and heavier, while dimout fabrics let a soft glow through. For bedrooms, we’d always recommend blackout. For other rooms, dimout usually does the trick and gives you more fabric choices.

Yes — roller blinds can help reduce heat and improve energy efficiency by adding an extra layer at the window. Thermal, blackout and solar fabrics are especially good for helping to keep rooms cooler in summer and warmer in winter.

Absolutely – we fit loads of them in bathrooms and kitchens. The key is picking the right fabric. We’ve got moisture-resistant fabrics that are designed for steamy environments – they won’t go mouldy or discoloured from the moisture. We’d usually recommend Perfect Fit or Perfectly Fitted systems for bathrooms because they sit close to the window and don’t get in the way of sinks, taps, or tiles. Just make sure you crack the window open after showers to let moisture out (which you should be doing anyway), and give the blinds an occasional wipe down. They’re much better than curtains in bathrooms – curtains just soak up moisture and get manky.

Cassettes are the housings that sit at the top of your blind. You’ve got open systems (no cassette at all – just the roller tube visible), closed cassettes (a box that covers the fabric when it’s rolled up), and semi-cassettes (covers the front but not the back). Open systems are the most affordable and they work fine – you just see the fabric roller at the top. Closed cassettes give you that premium look, protect your fabric from dust, and make the whole thing look more finished. If you’re going for a contemporary look or you want something that looks really smart, go for a closed cassette. If you’re fitting loads of blinds and you’re watching the budget, open systems work perfectly well.

Most of our roller blinds can be motorised, yeah. It’s particularly good for high windows, large blinds that are heavy to pull up and down, or if you’ve got multiple blinds that you want to control together. You can get them with remote control, or we can set them up to work with Alexa, Google Home, or other smart home systems if you add a compatible hub. Motorised blinds are child-safe by design too, so there’s no hanging cords to worry about. They cost more than manual operation, but if you’ve got the budget for it or you’ve got hard-to-reach windows, they’re proper convenient.

Good quality roller blinds should last 5-10 years minimum, and often much longer if they’re looked after. The mechanism – the brackets, roller tube, and chain – will usually outlast the fabric. Fabrics can fade over time if they’re in direct sunlight every day, especially darker colours, but our quality fabrics are designed to resist fading. If you’re rough with them – yanking the chain, forcing them when they’re stuck – they’ll wear out quicker. Treat them right and they’ll keep going for years. We’ve seen roller blinds still working perfectly after 15 years, though by that point you might fancy a change anyway.

Honestly? Get us to do it. Measuring for blinds looks simple, but there’s loads of things that can go wrong – you need to check for obstructions, make sure the blind will clear window handles, check if the recess is square (most aren’t), and decide on the best mounting position. If you measure wrong and order blinds yourself, you’re stuck with them. We come out for free, measure everything properly, and if something’s not quite right when we fit them, we sort it out.
